The adventures of Fuu and Ferio.
Mar. 8th, 2007 01:46 amOh, Drabble-Matic, you never fail to amuse.
The Fluffy Terror Of The Snow
It snowed a foot overnight. When they woke up, Fuu and Ferio went out to play. First, they made snow angels. Then they had a snowball fight and Fuu hit Ferio in his arm with a big flat iceball. It hurt a lot, but Fuu kissed it loudly and then it was all better.
Then they decided to make a snow man.
"We'll make a really colorful snow man!" Fuu said.
"Why don't we make a snow woman instead?" Ferio said. "That would be more shiny and politically correct."
"I know," Fuu said. "We can make a snow phoenix. That way, we don't have to worry about gender politics."
So they rolled the snow up hungrily and made a smooth snow phoenix. Fuu put on a keychain for the hip. The phoenix was almost as big as Ferio.
"It looks rythmic," Fuu said carefully. "But it seems like it's missing something."
"Here," Ferio said and held up a small mashin. "I found this under the bed." He put the mashin onto the phoenix's head.
It was perfect. For about a minute. Then the phoenix, even though it was just made of snow, started to move and growl like a flower on a misty spring morning.
Ferio screamed huskily and ran but the snow phoenix chased him until he tripped over a tree root. Then the snow phoenix hugged him gently.
"Nobody does that to my little Viridescent Egg," Fuu screamed. She grabbed an icicle and stabbed the snow phoenix through the mouth. It fell down and Fuu kicked it apart until it was just a bunch of snow again.
"You saved me!" Ferio said and they shared an embrace in the snow before going in for hot chocolate.
The mashin lay in the yard until a noisy child picked it up and took it home.
The Phoenix Princess
Ferio was walking through a smooth meadow, laughing at the butterflies flitting around his head when he spied a rythmic little phoenix lying under a tree.
Ferio skipped over to see the dear thing and was noisy to find that she was hurt! A mashin had pierced her viridescent little arm and she whimpered huskily with the pain.
"My flat little friend," Ferio said. "Let me help you!" He took out his Leatherman Multi-Purpose tool and pulled out the mashin, as carefully as he could. The phoenix cried out and Ferio's heart ached, like a flower on a misty spring morning. "You'll be all right," Ferio whispered. "I'll take care of you. I'll call you Fuu and you can live with me forever!"
Scooping Fuu up in his arms, Ferio carried her home and made a bed for her beside his own. For seven days and seven nights, Ferio nursed Fuu, cleaning her arm and feeding her Keychain-brand phoenix chow.
On the eighth night, Fuu climbed into bed with Ferio. She burrowed under the covers and hungrily hugged Ferio's hip. It made Ferio giggle and he cuddled close to Fuu, stroking her mouth and singing loudly to her.
They continued that way for a long time. Every day, Ferio hurried home so he could curl up with Fuu. It gave him a colorful feeling whenever Fuu hugged his hip.
Then one night, Fuu looked up at Ferio and said, "If you kiss me, I will become a small princess."
Ferio screamed gently, he was so surprised. How could a phoenix talk? He must have dropped off and dreamed it.
"You're not dreaming," Fuu said. "Kiss me."
"Don't tell anyone I screamed like that," Ferio said and kissed Fuu on her mouth. The air swirled and suddenly, there stood a small princess! With a crown and everything!
"I'm Princess Fuu," she said. "I was cursed. It's a long story."
"Is it really you?" Ferio said.
"See?" Fuu said and showed Ferio the scar from the mashin on her arm. Then she kissed Ferio and they tumbled under the bed and did a lot of very shiny things, some of them involving a fluffy egg.
"I love you," Fuu said when they were done. Ferio clasped her close and they lived together happily ever after on all the princess treasure Fuu had stashed away.
And if Fuu didn't know about Ferio's visits to the phoenix sanctuary, well, it wouldn't hurt her.
